Product details
Ficus microcarpa ‘Ginseng,’ commonly known as the “Ginseng Ficus” or “Banyan Fig,” is a popular indoor plant with a unique, bulbous root system that resembles the shape of ginseng roots. It features glossy, dark green, oval-shaped leaves and a distinctive, swollen base that serves as a water storage organ. The Ginseng Ficus is a versatile and hardy houseplant, often used for its ornamental value and ease of care.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE: Similar plant to the pictures in a 4” nursery pot.
CARE TIPS:
Light: Provide bright, indirect light. Ginseng Ficus thrives in medium to high light conditions but can tolerate lower light levels.
Temperature: Maintain a warm environment with consistent indoor temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Avoid exposure to cold drafts.
Humidity: Although it can adapt to lower humidity levels, providing higher humidity can promote better growth. You can mist the plant or use a humidity tray.
Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry before watering. Water thoroughly, and ensure excess water can drain from the pot.
Soil: Use a well-draining, peat-based potting mix to ensure proper aeration and drainage for the roots.
